Private house approvals in Australia increased by 4.0% month-over-month to 9,547 units in September 2025, recovering from a downwardly revised 1.0% drop in the previous month, preliminary estimates showed. The number of house approvals was the highest since August 2022, driven by higher approvals in New South Wales (7.8%), South Australia (7.4%), Victoria (7.3%), and Western Australia (6.8%).
